What Edelbrock Performer carburetor will fit my 1986 trans am 305 v8?

i was thinking the 500 but summit website says it wont fit... and if u wanted to add any performance upgrades that will really increase hp @ under $300|||You don't want to really exceed 500cfm, with a mild cam you could or a performer intake both go the 6 to 650cfm,single not a double pump.Look around here.

summitracing.com and see if this part #20214 comes up with anything for you.Look around there, the price is steep,my brother had a similar set up,his to was a small block also. But it was a 69-327ci in his 81 mote carlo. It was quick but the money that's when it stops. It's outragouse ,just to squeeze out 20 to 120hp more.It gets old.So now you have 380hp maybe 400,and it only took$3000 to get it and 3 weeks to get used to it,then want more....................................鈥?you need pistons, hotter cam, more breathing, different everything.|||The Edelbrock 1403 or 1801 carburetors are the ideal replacements in terms of performance, however they will not bolt down to your GM Quadrajet bolt pattern. The solution is to buy a Mr Gasket 1932 carburetor adapter. This adapter will allow you to bolt the 1403 easily and safely to your manifold. It will raise your carburetor by 1 inch so you should check your hood clearance. One way to address the clearance is to use an Edelbrock 8126 fuel line and 1207 low profile air cleaner. This combination should have no hood clearance problem.

There really are no ways to get big horsepower from your engine for under $300.00. The next logical performance add-ons are headers and a performance camshaft, but the 305's cylinder heads are going to limit the ability of your engine to create a lot more power.
