Cleaning a Edelbrock aluminum intake?

I'm trying to clean out an old Edelbrock Performer intake that has been sitting on an old 350 for about 10 years. It's full of carbon buildup and years of grease internally and externally. What is safe to clean this buildup off?|||Hot tank it. Some machine shops and transmission shops have hot tanks. It will clean it up great.|||If the intake is off the engine, use oven cleaner! Just spray it on and let it sit for a while. Then just hose it off %26amp; let it dry. If the outside of the intake is stained or dull, use some mag wheel cleaner on it. The oven cleaner works great on the inside of aluminum %26amp; steel valve covers too!
