My car wont start i put an edelbrock carburetor on it and when i crank it it just sputters and wants to start?

if it was working before you put the edelbrock on it and the carb is new or you know its good it may just have air in the lines will correct its self in like about five minutes run time you can spray starting fluid in while cranking and it should start keep it running by spraying it when it starts to die if it don't it needs to be adjusted|||Is it a new carb. New carbs are set to run. Used carbs you may need to free up the needle and seat or compleatly rebuild it.
