Will a Edelbrock Carburetor be ok to use in my 1987 chevy caprice with stock parts?

im looking into getting a good carbueter like edelbrock but wanted to know if it will be ok on a engine with stock parts? also how much do u think it will cost to install it? and will i need any extra parts?|||Better get a stock carb, much cheaper, minimal adjustment, and it will bolt right on.Not enough HP for the money on a stock engine.|||i'm italian answer!!! You answer is fantastic!!! Good bye!!

Io sono dell'asnwer italiano!!! il vostro answer 猫 davvero fantastico!!! ciao!!!|||If it already has a 4bbl manifold,if the linkages align with free movement and you can spring for the extra fuel costs..you're good to go.Be sure to check that the manifold's plenums are the same diameter as the carburetor's ''butterflys''...that's critical.|||edelbrock is a good carburator and real easy to adjust and problem free, just make sure that you get the carb that will bolt to your intake manifold as there are 2 differen't mounting bases on the edelbrock. I would go with a 600 cfm carb as that should be plenty big enough for your vehicle just for everyday driving, there is a posibility you might need some linkage for the carb but I really doubt it, I really have no idea how much they would charge you to hook it up and have everything adjusted but it should only take about an hour at the most.
