What size metering rods do i need for my Edelbrock 650 cfm?

I just bought a 1966 Chrysler New Yorker and I have a stock Edelbrock 650 cfm Thunder Carb on my 440 engine. I am having trouble trying to find what size metering rods i need. I want to go with .104 metering jets but cant find the info. help?|||As with the Carter (Edelbrock) and Rochester Quadrajet, metering rod and jet selection is made according to how the motor responds to weak, soft accelerator "crowd" movements. Lower intake manifold vacuum raises primary metering rods while increased vacuum lowers them inside the jets.

If the engine stumble at all during very slight increases in throttle pressure by softly raising speed from 20 - 25 mph or 30 - 35 mph the next size smaller diameter on the largest portion of the rod *could be tried.

Slamming your foot on the accelerator will not tell you if or not an other than stock metering rod may be needed. That's the job if the accelerator pump and accelerator pump nozzles.

I would like to advize you that low steady speed spark plug porcelain reading could be the easy way out. The fact of the matter is with the advent on non-leaded fuel reading plugs has become a lost aret because it's so difficult.

Edelbrock sells a #1842 Thunder series AVS calibration kit which has many sets of metering rods, jets and metering rod vacuum springs.|||http://www.streetperformance.com/m/cats/鈥?/a>|||Depends how happy you want to keep her.
