How much horsepower should I expect from an Edelbrock performer plus cam and intake manifold?

the engine is a chev 350 with no other performance upgrades other than catback exhaust.|||Which Edelbrock performer plus cam?

#2102, 2103, or 3702.

2103 is NOT right for you, 2102 may bve a little too big for your stock engine

3702 seems like a good match.

That cam and intake, look for a solid 20-25 HP gain

If you want more or a bigger cam, you need higher compression and better heads.

swap to a set of vortec heads (1996-02 chevy truck 350) and that bolt on head swap will gain you 30-35 HP, plus if you use fel pro 1094 head gaskets with it, you will have around 9.75:1 compression then could use a bigger cam like the 204/214*@.050" cam and gain even more power|||the question is are you planning on flashing the computer to go with the changes. your ecm is expecting specific vacuum, cam timing etc signals as per the old cam and system. a cat back doesn't effect this as it is after all the emissions systems but before them they can actually cause it to perform weaker. your computer reads the signals and adjusts for changes not always for the good|||You need to give more info, I know you said it's stock, but stock what? What size carb, what year block? You should consider headers at the least, but HP is made easily with good heads along with what you got.|||what YR? what compression ? ie what heads? my wag is you added about 40 hp to whatever you had
